    Q: What is the Wireless Ethernet:

    A: The Wireless ethernet provides internet access to mobile computers and home desktop computers without connection cables. Instead, it uses radio communication between the computer and NightOwl 2k Access Points.

    There are several versions of wireless ethernet in use today. NightOwl wireless ethernet is based on the IEEE 802.11b "high rate" standard, therefore only devices that use this protocol will work with NightOwl 2k Access Points.


    Q: How fast is it?

    A: The IEEE 802.11b standard has a nominal speed of 11 megabits per second (Mbps). However, depending on signal quality and your selected subscription level will depend on your true through put.


    Q: Is it secure?

    A: Yes, via our PPPoE login client your data is protected.


    Q: Do I still need my modem?

    A: Yes, and No. If you are a traveler and roam outside of our wireless network range you might want to use your modem, all WiFi subscription levels include access to our Nation Wide Dial Network.


    Q: Can this system support more than one user?

    A: Yes.


    Q: Is there a contract and what methods of payment are accepted?

    A: Yes, There is a 1 year contract, Billing is monthly on credit card, debit card or prepayment.
